Bizcocho en Licuadora Recipe

A simple, fluffy, and delicious homemade cake made using a blender.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil (e.g., sunflower or canola)
  • 1 cup milk (or orange juice for a citrus twist)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Optional Add-ins:

  • Zest of 1 lemon or orange for extra flavor
  • ½ cup shredded coconut or chocolate chips

Instructions

Step 1: Blend the Wet Ingredients

  1. In a blender, add eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, milk (or juice), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Blend for about 30–60 seconds until smooth.

Step 2: Add Dry Ingredients

  1. Add the flour gradually, blending in short bursts to avoid lumps.
  2. Add the baking powder last and blend briefly until combined.

Step 3: Prepare the Baking Pan

  1. Grease a 9-inch (22 cm) round or rectangular baking pan with butter or oil and dust it with flour.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).

Step 4: Bake the Cake

  1. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  2. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Let the cake cool before removing from the pan.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!

  1. You can dust with powdered sugar or serve with jam, chocolate syrup, or whipped cream.
